History of a Box Brownie Camera

I got this little beauty from the original owner off ebay for $10 about 3 months ago.

Isn't it divine!

It's a genuine Kodak Box Brown camera. Although I can't see a date on it, research reveals these cameras were made some time between 1946 and 1953, making it over 60 years old!

When I picked it up, the lovely old gentleman explained how he had purchased it for his wife as a wedding present many years ago.  Her initials are even embossed into the case!  I love that I have a beautiful story to tell about the history of the camera.

And it looks gorgeous on display in my lounge room.

They just don't make them like they used to.

  3. I just love cool old things like this. And the story makes it even sweeter. When you display something like that, it's as if you're honoring something that someone once thought was so special.. and now it's your special something too :)
