This is my current bathroom which I really want to make over. Sorry, not the best picture. In summary, the floor is terracotta tiled, the vanity has a white top and wooden base, the vanity mirror is a matching wood colour, towels and mats are a burnt orange colour, all the walls and bath/shower are white tiled with stainless steel fittings.
I want to stick to the white and pastel vintage shabby romantic feel that runs through the rest of my home.
The only thing I'm not sure I can change is the tiles. They are an orange terracotta colour so all the ideas I've been considering have been to try and fit in with the tiles.
I desperately need help in choosing what colour to paint the vanity and bathroom mirror. I was thinking white for both, then I was thinking teal for the mirror and teal towels, but that will probably be too bright.
Do I keep the orange towels and bath mat or do I move to another colour like pale blue or green? What colours actually go with terracotta?
As for the flowery tile border, I was thinking I could maybe paint this too?? I was thinking of painting the floor, but White King's tile paint is not recommended for floors. Maybe there is an outdoor tile paint I could use?
I really could use some help with this makeover and all comments and advice would be warmly welcomed.
