Front Porch Tour & DIY Paper Lanterns

Welcome to our front porch.

It's a long ranch style porch, which I love!

See my new DIY topiaries!

The succulents in the small white pot on the left and the ones in the tall silver pot I purchased a year ago at a yard sale for $2 each, pots included! I love them and they are so easy to look after.

I also made these cool paper lanterns last night from left over white scrapbook paper.  Then I attached white streamers (also left over from kids parties), and the silver diamonties I also had in my stash of crafty stuff.

So, they cost me nothing to make and look so pretty blowing in the breeze.

Hubby also helped me make the large cardboard stars, which I sanded and then coated in clear spray varnish.

My beautiful lounge room white Plantation Shutters are visible from the front of the house, and are what drew me to this house when we were looking to purchase.

I plan to paint the turquoise pots white, as I did with all our other pots yesterday!

This wooden garden bench I scored at a yard sale for $10 and painted white.  I'd love another one for the other end of the porch.

The drop cloth rag wreath I also made a few nights ago.

I'd like to swap the door mat out for a more neutral one.

I think our porch is looking great and will set a great backdrop for Christmas.

    1. Thanks Kathy. I know, I love that bench. It was a yucky brown when I got it. Amazing what a bit of paint can do! x Julie
