Little Shabby Green Writing Desk

Before ...

And after ...

I simply sanded and then applied a few coats of vintage green chalk paint.

Then a little bit of distressing.

And a matching shabby distressed chair.

And this little desk has a lot more personality. :)

  1. Julie,
Very nice. I love the new color. So much brighter. It now says hey sit down and write a nice card or note! Great job.

    1. Thanks Kris. I've almost forgotten how to write a note or card. Thanks for reminding me. Now it's coming up to Christmas I'll have to post out some nice cards, written at my nice new desk. ;)

    1. Thanks Pascale! Now I just have to find time to sit down and use it. :) Oh well, I can still admire it as I rush past with the vacuum!

    1. Thanks Sandy! I'm hoping no one asks the name of the green I used cause I mixed it myself ages ago! :)

    2. I did the same thing this evening, adding bits of blue, and yellow. I could never duplicate the color!

  4. I just love this! I have the exact same style desk that I paid $3 for years ago. I painted mine a creamy white but I love yours! I use mine as a night stand next to my bed. Lovely work!
