Wooden Christmas Tree Restyled

Last year I made a large wooden tree Advent Calendar which looked like this ...

Original Post Here

This year, I decided to make it a bit more farmhouse style friendly.

I took off all the bags and hot glued pegs and added a few coats of roughly brushed on white paint.

To hang the decorations I used gold push pins and just painted over the tops with the same white paint so they would blend in.

Then I added an assortment of similar sized gold ornaments.

And a gold star.

I love how it turned out. It's a keeper. :)

  9. Julie, your wooden tree make-over is so simple, yet absolutely perfect in its simplicity. I'm looking forward to featuring it at Shabbilicious Friday tomorrow.
