I've made a few changes in the master bedroom of late.
Remember "the blue bug"? Well our main bedroom did not escape it's bite back in May.
Blue walls, blue blanket, blue sheets ...
Firstly, the wall colour has changed to Dulux Limed White Full. I love this relaxing colour. It's a great neutral for the bedroom.
The art work above the bed is new. I printed off some of our wedding photos in black and white and framed them. Then I created a new sign to go in the middle.
I used a board of pine, painted it white, faux drew in the planks and printed and traced on my wording. Then coloured the words with marker and lightly dry brush the boards with black paint to give them an aged effect. (The date is our wedding day!)
The blue blanket has been replaced with a brown one.
Our sheets are white and the pillow cases are a neutral stripe.
The cushion is one I bought last year at Christmas.
The opposite wall was also repainted and new artwork hung.
I made this sign by simply printing the wording on white paper and piecing it together.
Then placing it in a rectangular wood frame.
The window frame, which used to be above the bed is now on the opposite wall also.
I just added a twig wreath to the front.
I also added some faux potted succulents on each side table.
And a basket on my side as well.
I couldn't be happier with how the room looks now.
