DIY Rustic Farmhouse Hallway Table

I haven't blogged much lately, but I have been busy changing things, as always.

Firstly, I decided to un-plank our dining table and take it back to the faux white planks.

After:

Which left me with the old planks which I decided to turn into a rustic style hall table for entryway.

I haven't really built anything from scratch before so I got hubby to help me draw up a plan of the size and design I wanted, and to work out what we needed.

To go with the planks, I only needed to buy 3 x 2.4metre lengths of 70mm x 35mm structural pine which cost less than $10 and a packed of screws for $5. And here is my finished table.

I have left it raw pine for the time being, although I may give it a walnut stain.

I really wanted to have a shelf underneath to display some of my farmhouse decor.

I'll admit, I had to do a bit of amendments after it was finished as it was a bit too deep and too high, but it all came together perfectly in the end.
