You Are My Sunshine Sign
I whipped this little sign up yesterday and thought I would share.
I got the wooden frame at a garage sale for $1. I think it is supposed to be used as a cupboard door?
All I did was roughly brush it over with white paint. Then transferred my words (created in Pages on my laptop) and coloured them in with black marker. Then I brushed it over with a watered down white paint as a wash to give it an aged sanded effect. I've learned you can't sand texta, but you can brush paint over the top to give the same effect.
I've hung it in the sunroom over my old book page flower which looks amazing when the light comes in the Plantation Shutters.
And I'm really happy with my $1 wooden sign. :)
