Thrifty Finds
I got this gorgeous old enamel saucepan, old scissors, old measure tape and old style wall clock.
A cool pendulum clock still in box, and this old wooden measurer. The elderly man I got the measurer from said his aunt used to use it for dressmaking. Cool, hey?
I also got the old chippy table which is totally warped. The eldery lady I purchased it from said her mum used to iron on it. I'm guessing that is why the wood is warped. Nevertheless, I love it's history and charm and plan to keep it as a table to sort and fold my laundery on.
I also got these cool side tables. I plan to paint them white and most likely use them as side tables in the sunroom.
This chest of drawers I'd like to use in my son's room, if it fits next to his bed.
And this Queen Anne side table I can see painted white and sold to cover some of today's "keepers". :)
In the afternoon we took a trip to the hardware store. Love the hardware store. And after loading up with new brushes and rollers and paint, we headed home and I was able to work on my secret project. Well, not so much a secret as the fact that I haven't revealed a huge change to our house that took place last week. But I will very shortly. :)
Hope you liked seeing all my newly acquired goodies.
