My Ikea and Prada Thrifty Finds!
Okay, so I am seriously stoked with my thrifty finds from today's yard sales.
First stop I scored this genuine Ikea Ektorp Footstool, with inside storage.
It has a beige cover with white piping, although I can't see the exact cover on the Ikea website, but the same footstool with similar covers retail for $239 here in Australia.
So how much did I pay?
Brace yourself, hold on to your seats and prepare to be totally shocked.
I'm still trying to recover.
And I even got to this sale an hour after it started and it was still there.
Okay, back to the price ......
You might say $100? Nup, lower. $50? Nup, lower. $30? Nup, lower. $20? Nup, lower.
Okay, I won't keep you in suspense any longer. :)
My Ikea Ektorp Footstool, which matches my recently acquired Ektorp Lounge, cost me the bargain price of ...... you might want to sit down .......
$4!!!!!
I kid you not.
Bargain, right?
There are a few stains on the cover, which will likely wash out. However, I plan to get a white cover from Ikea which retail here for $29 and will match our white sofa.
Yep, that totally made my day. :)
And then to top it off, I got this gorgeous brown faux Prada handbag, in new condition.
I had been looking for a brown handbag and this one was the perfect shade of brown. Of course our budget would never stretch to Prada. And I've always said I would never get a faux brand bag, until I stumbled upon this one.
The price? Have a close look at the tag.
Yep, $2.
Mine!!!
I was secretly hoping it might be a genuine one, until I did my Google research. You just never know. Crazier things have happened. Like scoring a $4 Ikea footstool. ;)
I love thrifty shopping. You just never know what you might find. :)
