My New Lounge Room Office Area and Hubby Built Desk!

My lovely new Office Area is complete!
I recently posted how my newly titled "Handy Man Husband" custom made me this desk ...
Based on this inspirational picture ...
And how this awkward corner in my Lounge Room once looked like this ...
But now looks like this ...
I made my own stain from a wash of black paint for the legs, and then a much lighter black wash for the top.
Then I gave the legs a coat of clear varnish and the top 3 coats of clear varnish to seal and protect.
This area is now so practical. I have set up the kid's homework laptop on the far end. The middle section is for me and has a tray for bills etc. The left side is for our iPads. I've asked hubby to make me a rustic wooden stand for them so the kids can FaceTime the grandparents more easily. This end is also functional for my youngest to be playing games on the iPad while I help my elder with their homework on the other end. I also made a drop cloth pin board out of an old picture frame to hang on the wall above.
Three chairs will fit neatly under the table side by side, and I have three gorgeous spindle back chairs that will be perfect here. I'm just trying to decide whether to leave the chairs a light wood colour or paint them black.
So here is my inspirational pic and the finished space ...
I couldn't be happier! :)

This turned out so great! I found you over at "Not Just a Housewife". I just made a little desk/work space for myself as well (with a lot of help from my hubby). Don't you just want to find every reason to go sit at it?? If you get the chance, I'd love for you to share this over at a link party I'm co-hosting this week.
