I got this sideboard about a year ago and have finally got around to restyling it. I hate to brag, but it turned out so beautiful. Don't you think?
Before ...
After...
After two coats of white chalk paint and two coats of clear wax. |
Gorgeous vintage legs. |
Light sanding to create an aged effect. |
Original cutlery drawer lined with vintage music sheets. |
All drawers lined with vintage music sheets. |
Original vintage hardware. |
Claw foot feet. |
Shelf storage on both sides. |
I'm so tempted to keep this for myself! Seeing the gorgeous original hardware on this sideboard has inspired me to put the original hardware back on my sideboard. After I putty up all the holes, I'll show you how it looks!
Saw your piece at the Liz Marie link up. What a transformation! Really nice! I'm trying chalk paint for the first time on a thrift store find. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! You will fall in love with chalk paint, just like I did. It really is super easy to use. Good luck and I can't wait to see how you go! :) Julie
