My Trip to Ikea, New Rugs and Our New Coffee Table
Yesterday I took the kids to Ikea. Before we could shop we had to visit the cafe. Can't shop on an empty stomach. ;)

There are 2 Ikea stores in Sydney and I'm lucky enough to live about a 30 minute drive away from one. But still, I don't go there often cause I know I'll spend way too much money. And this trip was no exception.

I have been wanting a nice rug for the entryway for like forever, so when I saw this jute one at a reasonable price, in the trolley it went.

I have also been wanting a jute rug for the living room. I haven't been able to afford one, but then I saw this one at half the price of the ones I had been looking at. Who could go past half price, right? Work with me here. ;)

And both the new rugs together ...
You will remember from my earlier post that I recently redid this coffee table but wasn't going to keep it as it didn't match our rug and was a bit high. Well, now I have a new rug that it does match and it was easy to cut the legs down. Now it is perfect!
Now back to my shopping ...
I have also been looking for another set of white cotton curtains and these were an absolute bargain. I'm not entirely sure where they will go, but I knew I'd regret not getting them while I was there.
I have also been looking for a Lego table for me kids for a while, and everyone seems to think the Ikea Trofast systems are the way to go so I got one.
It is a new version of the old version, the difference being the pine is a bit lighter in colour. Which I absolutely love. And cause they hadn't changed the price tickets, I got it for the old lower price. Even better! I chose white boxes cause it will live behind the lounge and I wanted it to blend in as much as possible.

I also spotted the perfect chair to go with my black desk, but I was already way over budget.
This is the chair I wanted ...
When I got home I found out the arms would unscrew off my current chair so I'm just going to recover the one I have with some pretty fabric. :) Another project to add to my list!
