Vintage Coaster Set Restyled
Well, after a few coats of white chalk paint, here she is.
I distressed all the edges to bring out those gorgeous details on the box.
And replaced all the cork inserts with new ones.
Then applied a coat of clear vanish to everything.
And I now use them as drink coasters in the living room and they match my decor perfectly.
Definitely keepers!

Julie,
ReplyDeleteThese turned out so great. Love the chippy white to them. Hope your Mom's Day was a good one.

DeleteHow did you replace the cork? It looks like it's original.
ReplyDeleteI scrapped of the original gungy cork off with a knife and bought a new sheet. I cut circles to size and used wood glue to attach the new cork. Believe me, I would not have put my cup on the original cork. :) Julie
