DIY Hanging Ikea Lanterns
When I recently shared my master bedroom makeover (full post here), I mentioned how I was going to hang some lanterns above the bed.


Well, they're hung!

I also swapped out the small mirror on the shelf for an old camera case, and added a wreath to the faux window frame.

I love how these lantern hangers turned out. They were so simple to make but really dress up the blank spaces on the wall.

To make them I used some scrap pine and gave it a coat of walnut stain.

I had some spare curtain hangers which I have a coat of flat black spray paint and then screwed them to my pine.
I attached a saw tooth hanger to the back of the pine and hung it over a screw on the wall.
So the only cost was the lanterns.
I can't wait to decorate this area for Christmas.
