The main changes to the front verandah are the posts which were black and are now white.

I've also added a new door mat, a fragrant Ginger Cardamon plant, Ikea lanterns, a wooden bench seat and Ikea check cushions.

Entryway Makeover - October 2018

Wall Paint Colours - Dulux Limed White Quarter and Vivid White

This was once a very plain entryway.

I've since added gorgeous white board and batten walls with a Dulux Limed White Quarter accent.

LOUNGE ROOM

Lounge Room Makeover - November 2017

Paint Colours - Dulux Natural White walls and Vivid White trim.

This would have to be my favourite room in the house.

When we moved in we had the carpet removed and the original floorboards polished.

The Plantation Shutters were a huge selling point when we bought the house. They let in so much light and look divine. I added wainscotting to the walls and painted the top half in Dulux Natural White. And I sanded back our french doors to their natural wood.

We also installed a free standing fireplace. We made the hearth ourselves (which I'm very proud of), and I made the faux wall mantel and surround behind it.

Rustic Farmhouse Style Dining Room - February 2018

Wall Paint Colour - Dulux Natural White and Vivid White trim.

We took the carpet out and polished the original floor boards prior to moving in.

We added a new chandelier which I painted black and wrapped with jute twine.

We painted the dining table chairs white. I made the large interchangeable Cafe sign.

And added wainscotting to the walls, then painted the top half in Dulux Natural White.

We also added an internal door leading into the garage.

Wall Paint Colour - Dulux Limed White Quarter and Vivid White Board and Baton

When we moved in, we removed the carpet and polished up the original floor boards.
Since then, I have installed extended white board and baton around walls.
I also restyled our chandelier for a more rustic farmhouse look.

HOLLY'S BEDROOM

Holly's Bedroom Makeover - July 2019

Wall Paint Colour - Dulux Limed White Quarter & Dulux Vivid White

For Holly's room we removed the carpet and polished the original floor boards when we first moved in. A few years later I added the white board and baton around the entire lower half of her room.

We are currently updating her room.

In Lochie's room we also removed the carpet and polished the original floor boards when we first moved in.

We are in the process of updating his room.

BATHROOM and TOILET

Farmhouse Style Makeover - October 2016

In the bathroom, I painted the vanity in Dulux Vivid White Enamel paint and added silver knobs.
I used an aged effect with white chalk paint on the mirror frame.
I also painted the floral wall feature tiles white.
Further, I added a white curtain from Ikea to the shower screen for a bit of privacy.
In the toilet, I added distressed crown moulding and painted the floral feature wall tiles white.

KITCHEN

Cabinet Paint Colour - British Paints H2O Enamel in White

All cabinets were detailed with board and batten, skirting boards were added, the benches were repainted, and the drawer and door hardware updated.

Laundry Room Makeover - February 2015

For the laundry room I added a lot of natural textures and neutral colours.
I famed vintage prints and added cane baskets.
I also made wire laundry baskets on wheels with drop cloth liners.
